Warm Waters: Chapter 8 – Part 1

That night, inside the new residence that Ji Yan hadn’t renovated yet, Lu Yichen held Ji Yan around again and again.

Ji Yan gasped, feeling like his waist was about to break.

Sure enough, you should never underestimate a young man’s stamina.

The two did not know for how long they tossed on the bed.

In the quiet of the night, a very tired Ji Yan was finally allowed to sleep.

Lu Yichen looked at the man in his arms, gently kissed his lips and softly whispered: “Trust me; I will grow up into someone you will be proud of”.

At noon the next day, Ji Yan took advantage of Lu Yichen going out to buy milk tea to call his idiotic cousin.

As soon as the call went through, Ji Yan impatiently lectured him:” You cheated a child of his money. Don’t you feel guilty about taking his 1000?”

“Cousin, You’re the only one who treats him like a child” the other responded in a lazy voice.

Ji Yan who was lying on the sofa turned over to adjust his posture and said: “I don’t care; you have to return him the money immediately. You two may have to meet a lot in the future. I can’t help you if he holds a grudge against you then.”

The man’s tone suddenly became serious: “Are you sure he is the one? Your feelings are not going to change?”

Ji Yan smiled: “No they won’t. I’m too old for them to change.”

“You have to think more about this, he is so much younger than you, and he is still a college student. It’s the age when there are too many temptations around him. Even if he doesn’t play around now, at his age, it will take a long time for him to mature, and you will have to constantly worry about it.”

“You, Don’t you have any faith in me?” Ji Yan sat up and drank some water, laughing he said: “I have thought about all of this, but who knows what will happen in the future? If he really is going to leave me when I get older, then so be it, I will just hold my father’s money for the rest of my life. Isn’t that fine too?”

“Hahaha, okay, dear Brother, do you mind if I only give him half the money?”

“No way. It was not easy for him to get that 1000. He had to take several part time jobs for that.”

“Sure, he will be my future cousin in law after all.”

Half an hour later, Ji Yan came back with two cups of milk tea, and as soon as he entered through the door he said to Ji Yan: “Brother Yan, your cousin gave me my money back.”

“The whole amount?” Ji Yan took the milk tea.

Lu Yichen nodded and inserted the straw into his lid: “Yes he gave it all back.”

“That’s fine then.”

“Brother Yan, do you know what’s going on?”

“I don’t know, maybe he felt guilty about it” Ji Yan bowed his head and drank his milk tea.

Lu Yichen stared at him suspiciously for a moment, but said nothing more.

  1. There is a missing word: feling like
‘as soon as she entered the door’ should be He

They should enjoy the relationship now, not think of a bad future. I wonder how is this gonna work, though. Lu Yinchen is in college and Ji Yan shouldn’t resign his job to be together with LYC again.

    Thanks for the chapter
